WOW – 40 years and we a still Keeping Our Life Exciting !
We are trying to create an epic trip … epic doesn’t mean expensive or extravagant … just EPIC !
Our FIRST date was November 21, 1977, to see Jethro Tull at the Capital Centre in Washington, DC.
Now, 40 years later, we want to celebrate that 1st date, by seeing them again. We have seen Jethro Tull many times over the years … but, this would be EPIC !
We have been following their tour schedule for the past year. They are primarily in Europe in 2023, but they just announced a US Tour – “The Seven Decades Tour”
They are playing at the Mountain Winery (www.mountainwinery.com) in the San Francisco Bay area and what a chance to combine our love of wine, our love of Jethro Tull and our love of each other … it will be EPIC !
The concert is on a Saturday night … so, we can make make it a long and EPIC weekend !
Friday … Fly to San Franscisco / San Jose and do some wine tasting at local wineries.
Saturday morning … go to Santa Cruz, visit the pier, whale watch or ???
Saturday afternoon / evening … wine tasting at Mountain Winery, pre-show diner on the Winery Deck and then Jethro Tull – The Seven Decades Tour.
Sunday … drive to San Franscisco, walk across the Golden Gate Bridge, visit Alcatraz, ride the cable cars, have Irish Coffee at the Bueno Vista, drive down Lombard Street, have lunch at House of Nanking / Fangs (in Chinatown) and ???
Monday … visit another local winery, visit Apple headquarters, visit Google headquarters, Santana Row, Tesla showroom and fly home.
